What Drove Me to Coaching

In 1998, I had a great career and married the love of my life, who was a US Marine. We moved almost every three years, traveled to some amazing places, and raised two resilient boys. In 2014, my husband retired, and I thought the hard part was over. Here is what I failed to realize: on the other side of the military retirement came the harsh realities of retirement, change, and the aftermath of multiple deployments (the war being the hardest). I still can remember our embrace when he returned from his last tour of war, and retirement was on the horizon. It was one of those "we survived it" moments. We beat the odds, yet what we didn't realize is that we would be facing a different type of war. One that sits quietly until it doesn't.

Looking back, I failed miserably at managing that change, and as a family, we all paid a price. Transparently, I felt like I was beneath the valley, and that is where God and I began to have more talks than I had in my lifetime. I was one hot mess, and the only thing that I knew to turn to was prayer (very grateful to my parents).

When I felt God say get up, I got up, and I started searching for myself. What I began to tell myself was, if I could hold it together, it might create a ripple effect. Those quiet warrior prayers — they work in God's way and in His timing. I learned He was listening the whole time.

Coaching was transformative. It was such an organic space for me.  My life has always provided opportunities to hold space for others, and supporting their growth has been and continues to be awe-inspiring.

My hope today is that I can support others through deep conversations that help weed through noise, elevate truth, and allow clearer decisions (with a deeper sense of knowing). You see, it doesn't always have to be complicated. Through trials and tests, there is a testimony that will serve you well. I find joy in simplifying areas of life to amplify what is truly meant to be.

It's the way we work together through understanding your:

If you are not bearing good results from your work, life is not at its best. Let's design who you are meant to be, not what others expect you to be.

Awareness

Coaching creates awareness. Are you operating on autopilot?  My strength in recognizing behavior patterns can support you. Let's interrupt what is no longer serving you and intentionally build upon what does.

Trust is my #1 value! It is great for coaching, and yet, growing up, it was hard until I found my calling. Are you leading and living by your values?

It is the one thing you can trust in elevating your personal and professional life.

Future/Goals/Aspirations

Regularly evaluating your approach to life helps maximize impact while maintaining a healthy presence.

Where are you headed and what do you hope for when you get there?

Stride

How do you differentiate in a competitive market?  With a vibrant mix of clients, I discovered that confidence and a clearly defined purpose are essentials to success and maintaining your stride. Visionary thinking, storytelling, active listening skills, influence, presence, experiences, and more unlock a powerful understanding of our true north.'Your Stride', will empower you to conquer challenges, prioritize effectively, align with your core values, shred limiting beliefs, track your progress, and feed you forward.

As a coach, I believe it is important for clients to understand how I work and who I am to make sure we are the right fit which creates the success for both of us.

On the train to meet a few clients in the city, I found myself reflecting on the personal side of this work and the perspective I bring to those I support.

I have always been drawn to creating meaningful, lasting impact.
As a former collegiate athlete, I developed a deep appreciation for discipline, resilience, and healthy competition. That mindset continues to shape my coaching today.
I believe in meeting people exactly where they are, while also challenging them to move beyond what feels comfortable or familiar.

My approach is intentional, adaptive, and grounded in both experience and behavioral insight. Coaching, for me, is not simply a profession; coaching is a practice and a way of engaging with life.

I am genuinely grateful for the trust my clients place in me.
That trust is never taken lightly.
I also recognize that coaching is deeply relational. I am not the right fit for every individual, and learning to honor that boundary was one of the most valuable lessons of my career. The clients I work best with are those who are ready for reflection, for clarity, and for the work that meaningful growth requires.

When you are grounded in your “why,” the “how” and the “what” begin to align. Supporting others in that realization, and helping them build a path that reflects who they are and who they are becoming, remains central to my work.

My Commitment to Coaching

As a subject matter expert in professional coaching, I challenge my clients to ask bold questions, gain clarity, and align their life strategies to achieve their most ambitious goals. My coaching philosophy is simple: success is built on trust, intention, and accountability. It all begins with me meeting you right where you are.
